It has been a long week at 3 Elm Court. We started off strong with a lead poisoning scare. We got the call following Jackson's yearly blood test for lead levels. It came back at 24 (anything over 10 the call the state). Lots of tears were cried. We were super worried. Our saving grace came when talking to the state lead poisoning specialist- error rates for finger prick blood draws are high. So Jackson had to go back on Thursday for the real deal- straight from the veins. Papa got to sit through that with the little man. So we waited and wondered if out little miracle boy would end up with unknown troubles in the future because our house was poisoning him. . . . . the new test results came back and they were great. His lead level was only at 2. The lesson of this horrible few days was this: don't let Scott take Jackson for blood work- the little guys fingers were dirty. I guess Scott didn't think he needed to clean him up after a visit to the dairy farm. Go figure.
Things are back to normal. Jackson is happy and is parents are only worrying about the little things again. Like what we should feed him for dinner . . . .
